I started my house cleaning business by doing all the work myself. But that wasn’t my long-term plan.
I knew I wanted to have a bigger business than that. Doing the work myself meant that I would only ever make so much money. So I built my residential cleaning company step by step, brick by brick. Eventually I could hire my first worker and schedule more jobs.
With each new job, I planned for the future. Once I had my first team working on their own, it was time to start a new team based on what I discovered worked the best. During this time, I was creating more business forms to manage my business, investing in more equipment, updating my policies and procedures and putting together a training manual.
So you see – you don’t have to have everything up and running just to start your business. But you do have to know how you will get started to get where you want to go! In fact, you just need to get started or your dream will just die out.
You don’t have to go through the tedious detail of creating everything from scratch, like I did. Start as an independent cleaner and grow your business to bring in maximum profits. You can’t do that by doing all the cleaning yourself.
